“The gospel isn’t one class among many that you’ll attend during your life as a Christian–the gospel is the whole building that all the classes take place in! Rightly approached, all the topics you’ll study and focus on as a believer will be offered to you ‘within the walls’ of the glorious gospel.” C. J. Mahaney, The Cross Centered Life
I am passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I am learning, by God’s grace, to live every moment of every day in light of the gospel. I am learning to place every aspect of my life under subjection of Christ and am striving to glorify Him in all I do.
My desire is to continue to grow in a deeper knowledge and understanding of the gospel as it plays out in everyday life. And for me, that means in the roles of wife, mother, and homemaker, primarily.
In this blog, I specifically want to bring gospel relevance to bear in the following areas:
- Intentional Living
- Living economically
- Living sustainably
- Eating healthy, whole, natural foods on a budget
- Finding ways to make healthy food options inexpensively
- Parenting and child rearing
- Developing a conservationist lifestyle
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders
- Biomedical approach to health
- Homeopathy
As I seek to research and grow in these areas, I am constantly reminding myself that these are not the end goal. I pray that healthy living will never become an idol in my heart and take God’s place. But I believe that God is honored when we seek Him in all areas of our life, even areas as menial as some of these may seem at times.
If these are some areas in which you would also like to grow and learn, join in my journey and offer any insight and wisdom you have learned along the way!
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Jesus Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
